Mr.Breach — Editor
Mr.Breach is the editor of USTRENDING. He is the named editor who approves every editorial story before it is published, and his name appears as the byline on every story page and in the story's structured data.
What the editor does on every story
- Checks the gate: Green, Yellow or Red, as defined in the Editorial Policy. A Yellow story does not publish without its Not yet confirmed section filled in and the editor's explicit approval; a Red story does not publish without approval at all, and expires after 6 hours if unapproved.
- Verifies the sources: that the 3–5 named sources exist, say what the story says they say, and are linked out in full — not summarised from a single source.
- Checks originality: that at least 60% of the story is material produced by this site — timeline, comparison, archive data and analysis — and that no article text or image has been copied or hotlinked.
- Checks the data: that the duration, peak rank, peak band and rank path quoted in the story match the archive snapshots for that topic, and that volume bands are quoted exactly as Trends reported them, never converted into precise traffic figures.
- Owns corrections: when a published story is shown to be wrong, the correction is made on the same URL and noted at the top of the story, as described in the Corrections Policy.
How stories are produced
Drafts are prepared with Muse assistance from the archive snapshots and the named original sources. A draft is not a story. It becomes a story only when Mr.Breach has reviewed it, edited it where needed, and explicitly approved it for publication. There is no auto-publish path: no cron job, feed job or webhook can publish a draft on its own.
Mr.Breach does not write a page for every trend. He publishes 2–5 stories per day, chosen by the gate above, and lets the archive — day pages, topic histories and category pages — carry the full record of what the United States searched for.
