What this site stores

This site serves server-rendered pages and stores trend snapshots and published stories as JSON files. It does not run a user database, it does not offer visitor accounts, and it does not collect names, email addresses or other personal details from public readers through this site itself.

Cookies and sessions

Public pages do not set a login cookie and do not require a login. The only session cookie in this codebase belongs to the private admin area, which is used solely to keep an approved editor logged in while editing and publishing drafts. It is not set for ordinary readers and it is not used to track readers across the web.

Analytics and advertising

Analytics and advertising, when enabled, are governed by their providers' policies and are disclosed here before launch. Until then, the yellow slots on editorial and archive pages are placeholders only and load no advertising code. No advertising runs on the live feeder page or on auto-generated listings, even after advertising is enabled elsewhere.

Outbound links

Every story links out to its named original sources. Those external sites have their own privacy policies; this policy does not cover them. Following a source link is a visit to that publisher's site, not to this site.

Changes to this policy

If the site starts collecting any reader data it does not collect today — for example a newsletter signup or a contact form — this page will be updated before that feature goes live, stating what is collected, why, and how long it is kept.
